A Champion for Veterans

 

Judge Albritton proudly presides over the Henderson Veterans Treatment Court. With a deep commitment to serving those who have served our country, she strives to help participants address service-related issues and rebuild their lives. Veterans Treatment Court takes a team approach to rehabilitate veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or other service-related issues who have been charged with a misdemeanor crime in the City of Henderson. Judge Albritton’s philosophy is that the Veterans Treatment Court must balance accountability with compassion, holding participants responsible for their actions while providing the support and resources they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

 

Recognizing the importance of strong resources for participants, Judge Albritton secured a $380,000 federal grant to expand treatment opportunities and provide greater support services for veterans in need. She works closely with Veterans Affairs, Veteran Service Organizations, treatment providers, and community partners to ensure participants have the tools necessary for success.
